Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Manager to lead the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departments at our Hampton, VA site. The role focuses on improving asset utilization, reducing downtime, and driving TPM/Lean initiatives to support safe, reliable, and efficient production of high-tech components.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, 3+ years in management, and experience with Lean/ TPM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; ITAR-compliant US work status required.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Lean manufacturing and TPM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departments.
• Drive asset utilization, shorten cycles, minimize downtime using TPM.
• Minimize unplanned downtime and maximize reliability with Lean initiatives.
• Manage the maintenance and repair budget.
• Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency and scrap reduction.
• Develop the capabilities of department staff through teaching and mentoring.
• Promote an engaged and energized workforce on the plant floor.
