Job summary

Chief Engineer-JLL is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical direction for all facility infrastructure operations at our Round Rock site. You will oversee daily maintenance, work orders, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and high reliability of essential systems.

You will lead a skilled engineering team, coach staff, and partner with management to drive service delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
7-10+ years in facilities engineering or maintenance operations.
Minimum 3-5+ years leading engineering/maintenance teams.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
Experience with CMMS platforms (Corrigo, ServiceNow, Maximo).
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop engineering and maintenance personnel with coaching and training.
Manage work orders across CMMS, ensure on-time completion and SLA compliance.
Oversee operation and reliability of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, BAS, generators, and UPS systems.
Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensure safety and quality standards.
Drive preventive maintenance and analyze data to identify gaps and improvements.
Support emergencies with troubleshooting and corrective action.
