Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Facilities Engineer to join the operations team in East London. You will oversee design, construction, and upkeep of processing plants, pipelines, and infrastructure for safe, efficient, and compliant operations in the Oil & Gas sector.

Lead maintenance programs, manage projects, and provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams to drive reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
7+ years of facilities engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
Knowledge of process equipment, piping, rotating machinery, and control systems.
Experience with project management, HAZOP studies, and P&ID development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of new production facilities and equipment.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies including preventative and predictive maintenance.
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in Oil & Gas.
Manage facility upgrades and debottlenecking projects to improve efficiency and capacity.
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
