Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Facilities Engineer to perform mechanical design for oil and gas production, transmission and distribution facilities.

This role covers new installations, upgrades, and retrofits across terminals, platforms, and pipelines, with on-site attendance in Lafayette, LA. The candidate will lead FEED and detailed engineering, develop process data sheets, select equipment, and ensure compliance with BSEE, USCG, ABS, and other standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 5–9 years of engineering design and/or project management in oil and gas.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements (BSEE, USCG, ABS, DNV) and codes (CFR, API, ASME, NFPA).
• Experience with sizing calculations, specifications, drawings and data sheets for oil and gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual engineering for new field or plant developments.
• FEED and/or Detailed Engineering for Greenfield or Brownfield projects for onshore/offshore facilities.
• Design of process and utility systems (production, dehydration, power, cooling, etc.).
• Prepare equipment location plans, P&IDs, and mechanical flow sheets.
• Provide on-site construction, commissioning and startup support.
