Job summary

Placements24's client in East London, Eastern Cape, is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Engineer with a strong background in pipeline integrity to develop and implement integrity management programs, assess risks, and oversee maintenance and repair activities in the Oil & Gas sector.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and deep knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, regulatory requirements, and ILI data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in pipeline integrity or related pipeline engineering in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and materials science.
• Experience with pipeline integrity assessment techniques and tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pipeline operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive pipeline integrity management plans (PIMPs).
• Conduct risk assessments including corrosion, mechanical damage, and third-party risks.
• Plan and oversee ILI campaigns and analyze ILI data.
• Specify and monitor maintenance, repair, and replacement activities.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME codes and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate pipeline incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with operations, maintenance, and external contractors on integrity-related matters.
