Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area seeks a Senior Aviation Programs Engineer/Manager to lead the conception, development, and application of advanced avionics systems.

You will create technical system proposals, manage change scope, and ensure compliance with customer requirements. You will collaborate with OEM customers and internal teams, oversee certification timelines, mentor engineers, and contribute to program roadmaps and documentation across multiple flight deck

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in technical program management, system integration, and new business pursuits.
  • Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead conception, development, and documentation of avionics systems.
  • Coordinate with OEM customers and internal stakeholders on program progress.
  • Ensure certification timelines and customer requirements are met.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to program roadmaps and processes.
