Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Facilities Engineer to join the project management team in Paarl, overseeing design, procurement, and installation of oil and gas processing facilities. You will ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.

Lead engineering contractors, conduct technical reviews and HAZOPs, and develop maintenance strategies to maximise uptime. Requires 8+ years in oil & gas facilities engineering and a B.E. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven experience in project management, including cost estimation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of process design, equipment selection, and safety systems for oil and gas facilities.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of oil and gas processing facilities.
• Ensure all facility designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage engineering contractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical reviews and HAZOP studies for new and existing facilities.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure facility reliability and uptime.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational issues related to facilities.
