Job summary

Arizola & Associates in Downtown Houston is recruiting a Sr. Facilities Engineer for an oil & gas company. You will lead major expense and capital projects in surface facilities engineering design and execution.

The role requires extensive experience with process plants and production facilities, including design, start-up, operation, and maintenance, plus budget development and schedule oversight. Travel as required, strong leadership, and effective communication are essential to guide teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of closely related professional experience in upstream crude oil and natural gas facilities.
• Experience in design, start-up, operation, and maintenance of process plants and production facilities.
• Capability in engineering budget development, execution and stewardship.
• Familiarity with Aspen HYSYS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports facilities engineering needs across the organization.
• Conducts detailed evaluations to address technical design issues.
• Provides engineering execution expertise and support.
• Provides equipment specification and procurement support.
• Provides pertinent engineering expertise to identify and address engineering design and execution performance issues.
• Reviews and advises on contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Participates in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, vendor qualification, quality audits, and contractor/vendor bid evaluations as requested.
• Provides technical mentorship to less experienced engineers.
• Proactively and continuously grows discipline’s expertise in pertinent technologies and engineering execution methods.
