Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Construction/Facilities Project Manager in Palmdale, CA to plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment and facilities. You will gather data on specifications, restrictions, and feasibility, and coordinate with architecture/engineering firms to prepare detailed drawings and bids.

Qualifications

• Experience managing construction and facilities improvement projects, including renovations, retrofits, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Knowledge of reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with project management tools and processes, including scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, and risk mitigation.
• Documented multi-trade construction management experience
• Microsoft Project scheduling and AutoCAD use

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
