Job summary

Vaco is hiring for a Senior Facilities Engineer in Dayton OH. The role handles maintenance and daily operations of a commercial office complex, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems to keep environments safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, coordinating with vendors, maintaining records in CMMS, and supporting on-call rotation while ensuring OSHA compliance and safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant office buildings.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS and pneumatic controls.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain HVAC systems, replace filters/belts, troubleshoot, support BAS and pneumatic controls.
• Inspect and repair doors, lighting, and access hardware.
• Handle plumbing repairs (toilets, sinks, faucets).
• Process work orders and provide responsive tenant service.
• Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance records in CMMS where applicable.
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety procedures.
