Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking an experienced Engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial real estate building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems. The role focuses on keeping facilities in optimal condition, coordinating with vendors, and supporting building operations.

The position requires at least 5 years in operations maintenance, EPA certification, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations maintenance or similar building engineering roles.
• EPA Certification.
• High school diploma or vocational or trade school.

Responsibilities

• Drive optimization of facility for clients, customers, and staff in a safe operating condition; conduct preventative and reactive maintenance; and resolve immediate operational and building safety concerns.
• Regularly inspect and conduct preventive tests to ensure proper working condition of all the building's equipment and overall operational infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace failed equipment and/or non-functioning components, belts, filters, etc.
• Coordinate efforts with vendors and/or third parties for the most complex repairs or for services under warranty and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct various locksmith tasks and/or the management of key security.
• Participate in and/or may lead special projects related to the improvement of building operations and efficiencies.
• HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Electrical work including re-lamping, ballast replacement and breaker reset
• Plumbing fixture repairs, drain maintenance, and restroom preventative maintenance
• Perform Inspection and Maintenance of café/kitchen equipment
• Manage and support maintenance of elevators, fire life safety devices, and UPSs
• Access Door and Overhead Door repair/adjustment, as required
• Obtain and compare estimates for work to be performed by outside vendors
• Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
