  • Process work orders and provide responsive tenant service.
  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance.
  • Maintain maintenance records in CMMS where applicable.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safety procedures.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer to support the maintenance and daily operations of a commercial office complex. This hands-on role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, responding to service requests, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for tenants and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain HVAC systems by replacing filters and belts, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting Building Automation Systems (BAS) and pneumatic controls.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain automatic doors, key lock systems, lighting, and other building components.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and related fixtures.
  • Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components throughout the facility.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and tenant service requests while providing excellent customer service.
  • Conduct routine inspections of building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and preventative maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), when applicable.
  • Support emergency response efforts and participate in an on‑call rotation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and building operating procedures.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
  • Experience supporting commercial office complexes or multi-tenant commercial buildings.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • HVAC systems (filters, belts, BAS, pneumatic controls)
    • Electrical and lighting maintenance
    • Plumbing systems (toilets, sinks, faucets)
    • Automatic door systems
    • Key lock and access hardware
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of commercial building systems.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
