Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is looking for an Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical construction, SCADA design, and commissioning for rail/transit projects. You will supervise construction activities, ensure plans and safety regulations are followed, and manage testing and commissioning tasks.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, including SCADA in transit and proficiency with Autodesk software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years construction or related electrical engineering experience, with 5+ years in SCADA design and at least 2 of 10 years in transit.
• SCADA experience in heavy rail transit systems and AC Room Passenger stations.
• Experience with Autodesk software suite and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Maintains familiarity with plans, schedules, and client responsibilities to support project teams.
• Provide electrical engineering support to the project implementation team.
• Contribute to statements of work, cost estimates, schedules, change requests, and testing/commissioning.
• Coordinate engineering and implementation in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Document processes and projects to ensure conformance with procedures and requirements.
• Evaluate design and construction for risks and propose alternatives.
• Assist in preparing final decision documentation for the COTR.
• Review contractor payment requests and internal project costs and provide recommendations.
• Report project status to client stakeholders and manage communications.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the client and contract manager.
