Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking an experienced CM Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical design and construction activities for rail/transit projects, including SCADA systems. The role requires full design responsibility from scoping through commissioning and testing.

Compensation ranges from $104,000 to $141,440, depending on experience and certifications. The position is based in Hunt Valley, MD, with field work and office duties as required, and offers an ESOP and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10 years construction or related electrical engineering experience with at least 5 years in SCADA design criteria and standards, and at least 2 of the ten years in the transit industry.
• SCADA experience in heavy rail transit systems and AC Room Passenger stations.
• Experience with Autodesk software suite.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, schedules, and PMP; coordinate with client teams.
• Provide electrical engineering support to project implementation team.
• Coordinate engineering with plans and specifications; monitor progress and quality.
• Document processes to ensure conformance with procedures and requirements.
• Review contractor payments and prepare project status communications.
