Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Senior Facilities Coordinator to join our on-site team in Portland, OR. This day-shift, full-time role focuses on planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities within a hospital environment.

You will work with the Plant Ops department to ensure regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and efficient use of the CMMS while supporting quality of care. This position emphasizes reliability and teamwork in a high-stakes setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Computer applications or Facility maintenance or 2 years of related work experience.
  • 2 years' experience operating and managing computerized maintenance management applications or similar programs; and developing and generating reports from database applications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and allocate work with the department manager and designees.
  • Develop and maintain processes for data collection and reporting of maintenance activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and maintain the work order database and use the CMMS to schedule, assign and monitor work as directed.

Senior Facilities Coordinator – Providence Portland Medical Center

This posting represents Full‑Time, Day Schedule.

Role Overview

The Maintenance Planner works with the department manager and his/her designees to plan, schedule and allocate work in an equitable and timely manner. Develops and maintains processes for collecting data and reporting the status of testing and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies. Assists the department manager and his/her designee in documenting quality of work and productivity of the assigned departments. Manages and maintains the work order database. Utilizes the computerized maintenance management program to schedule, assign and monitor work as directed by the manager or his/her designees.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Computer applications or Facility maintenance or 2 years of related work experience.
  • 2 years' experience operating and managing computerized maintenance management applications or similar programs; and developing and generating reports from database applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with facility maintenance processes in an acute care hospital.
  • Experience with Joint Commission Environment of Care Standards and Center for Medicare - Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation.
