Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a senior IT professional to lead analysis, design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for our on-premise and cloud-based solutions. You will act as a technical expert guiding agile teams and collaborating with business partners.

In a Hybrid-Flex role, you\'ll work in the office at least two days a week for collaboration and connection, or remotely with occasional in-person visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert and lead analysis, design and development of high volume, low latency applications.
• Lead the development of healthcare payer solutions across Fulfillment, membership, billing, and enrollment.
• Independently write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Provide technical leadership to other IT specialists.
• Discovery and fact finding to understand complex business problems.
• Recommend buy vs. build solutions to management.
• Analyze and resolve development and production issues and communicate findings.
• Research technology trends and apply best practices.
• Act in a project lead capacity and represent the department on enterprise-wide teams.
• Provide direction to less experienced team members and coordinate work.
• Assist management with employee development initiatives.
