Job summary

Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CB&I) seeks a Plant Manager Fabrication Operations to lead the fabrication shop, set production schedules, manage budgets, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across the facility.

The role requires deep experience in fabrication, subcontracting, and cross-functional leadership to drive strategic objectives and optimize performance for the shop and regional operations. This position is based in the United States and emphasizes strong operational leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior-level operations experience (15–20 years since degree, 10+ years in ops).
• 10+ years in an Operational role.
• Experience in managing fabrication subcontracts and vendor(s).
• High degree of computer literacy (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Manage OH costs and recoveries to meet business plan.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all shop fabrication activities, and coordination with accounting, billing, contract administration, equipment, government compliance, human resources, procurement, project controls, and project management personnel to ensure production effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.
• Establishes and maintains competitive production wage schedules and annual capital budgets.
• Drives overall fabrication marketing strategy and identifies opportunities for expanding regional services.
• Develops relationships with internal/external stakeholders to identify emerging needs and align objectives.
• Ensures project fabrication schedules are met and resources are allocated effectively.
