Job summary

You will mentor team members, coordinate production schedules, enforce quality controls, promote safety, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED Equivalent.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including welding, painting, grinding and electroplating best practices.
• Strong leadership in a manufacturing environment with ability to lead, guide, motivate and delegate to deliver results.
• Solid critical thinking, organizational, planning, and project management skills; analytical problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Adequate financial math skills to support budget decisions.
• Analytical skills with data-driven decision making and problem solving.
• Proven experience partnering across teams to drive improvements.
• Ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to distil trends from data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the fabrication team and uphold a professional work environment.
• Provide day-to-day department leadership; ensure timely completion of job orders and KPI targets.
• Oversee fabrication processes and workflows; ensure training and equipment readiness.
• Inspect welded parts and finished products; enforce quality control measures.
• Promote health and safety awareness; enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Create production and status reports; communicate issues to leadership.
• Assist in budget oversight and cost control for the department.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and rules.
