Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator II for our new campus facility supporting Marley and Ingenia Technologies in Madison, AL. The role involves operating laser, punch, and brake fabricating machinery to cut, shape, and form metal parts according to drawings and procedures.

You will set up machines, adjust settings, perform light programming, and inspect parts. The job requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, and operating an overhead crane and forklift, with physical demands

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years operating fabricating machinery.
• Read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser machines per procedures.
• Adjust settings to specification and complete tasks on time.
• Perform part programming on laser machines and inspect parts.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings accurately.
• Safely use hand tools and measuring devices.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift.
• Set up and operate punching/break machines per procedures.
• Inspect finished parts and perform minor adjustments.
