Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator I for our new campus facility, supporting Marley and Ingenia Technologies projects. You will operate laser and brake machines to shape and form metal parts, interpret engineering drawings, and inspect parts for accuracy.

The role requires at least 1 year in manufacturing, ability to read a tape measure, and use precision hand tools. Onsite work with safety-focused environment and opportunity to grow within a global engineering company.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year experience operating fabricating machinery.
• Read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operates fabricating machines (laser, brake) per procedures.
• Cuts and inspects parts for accuracy; applies correct labels.
• Interprets blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Safely uses hand tools and measuring devices.
• Load material into machines and maintain cleanliness and maintenance per schedule.
• Complete paperwork and report supply levels; assist Machine Operator II when needed.
