Job summary

CBIZ's Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) is seeking a Senior Manager with 7+ years of public accounting or private experience to join our national FAAS team in Boston. The role focuses on delivering accounting advisory services, mentoring staff, and growing the practice.

You will lead engagements, apply GAAP, and contribute to complex accounting solutions for clients, including new standards implementations and M&A activity, within a collaborative, high-energy team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in related field.
• 5 years supervisory experience.
• Must have and preserve required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting advisory support to clients, including implementation of new accounting standards.
• Oversee outsourced Controller, Accounting Manager and Senior Accounting work.
• Provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting support for M&A, divestitures, capital raises.
• Write technical accounting memos on equity, debt, revenue recognition, lease accounting, derivatives, business combinations.
• Manage client interactions, develop work plans, and mentor staff on engagements.
• Assist in preparation of clients’ internal and external financial statements and disclosures.
• Support audit readiness and analysis of complex cash flow projections.
• Develop new business relationships and contribute to practice growth.
