Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within public accounting, consulting, technical accounting, corporate accounting, or controllership.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting research methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to travel as required based on client and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage accounting advisory engagements while ensuring exceptional client service and project execution.
  • Advise clients on implementing and applying U.S. GAAP and new accounting standards.
  • Serve in outsourced Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accounting leadership capacities as needed.
  • Research, analyze, and document technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, debt vs. equity classification, business combinations, and other complex transactions.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, capital raises, and financing transactions from an accounting and financial reporting perspective.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda, accounting position papers, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Assist clients with financial reporting, audit readiness, month-end close, and year-end reporting processes.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of account reconciliations, financial analyses, cash flow forecasts, and management reporting.
  • Analyze business processes, identify accounting and reporting risks, and develop practical solutions to improve financial operations.
  • Build and manage strong client relationships while collaborating with auditors, legal counsel, investors, and other professional advisors.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and analyses for executive management, boards, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
  • Participate in practice development and business development initiatives to support the growth of the advisory practice.

Manager, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS)

Our growing Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice is seeking a Manager with experience in public accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, consulting, or corporate controllership. This role will lead client engagements, provide technical accounting expertise, mentor team members, and support the continued growth of a rapidly expanding advisory practice.

You’ll work directly with executive leadership teams, finance organizations, and high-growth companies on complex accounting, financial reporting, transaction, and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate is a technically strong accounting professional who excels in a client-facing environment and enjoys solving complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required

Preferred
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience within Accounting Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Technical Accounting, Audit, CFO Advisory, or Controllership functions.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, capital raises, debt financings, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of ERP platforms including NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
  • Prior experience leading client engagements and developing high-performing teams.
  • Digital assets, blockchain, or experience in the emerging technology industry is a plus.
