Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced F5 Administrator to configure, deploy, and maintain F5 BIG-IP systems ensuring high availability for USCENTCOM on the CITS contract.

You will work with network, systems, and security teams to implement traffic management, SSL offloading, and iRules while following DoD timelines and maintaining documentation. This role requires TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP systems, including load balancers and SSL offloading.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and F5 iRules for traffic management.
• Experience with Azure DevOps boards, Scrumban, or Agile methods under tight DoD timelines.
• DoD 8140/8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• US citizenship is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain F5 BIG-IP systems (load balancers, ADCs) including SSL offloading.
• Design traffic management rules (GSLB/LSLB) and manage keys/certificates.
• Manage F5 iRules and traffic management policies for application delivery.
• Assist in F5 upgrades, patches, and general troubleshooting to ensure functionality.
• Design and implement new F5 solutions to improve delivery, scalability, and security.
• Monitor health and performance; provide optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with network, systems, and security teams to integrate F5 solutions.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, changes, and SOPs.
• Utilize Azure DevOps to track tasks, backlogs, and requests.
• Support operational readiness with on-call coverage and after-hours support.
