Job summary

Eastman seeks a Senior Extrusion Coatings Specialist to drive development and launch of extrusion coating solutions for paper-based packaging. You will lead trials, support production scale‑up, and collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to deliver high‑performance, sustainable coatings that meet regulatory requirements.

The role requires deep polymer science knowledge, extensive experience in extrusion processes, and the ability to work across global teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel roughly 50% to customer sites and trials.
• Experience designing and executing customer trials and troubleshooting coating processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical specialist for extrusion coating applications, guiding trials and scale‑up.
• Design and execute customer trials for new materials and formulations from concept to completion.
• Engage downstream partners to understand requirements and drive product implementation.
• Apply web coating formulation knowledge to optimize coated products.
• Troubleshoot coating performance issues and propose improvements.
• Coordinate materials logistics for trials with global teams.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product management to drive growth.
• Develop technical literature and training resources for customers.
• Attend trade shows and conferences to stay current on market trends.
