Job summary

Eastman seeks a Senior Extrusion Coatings Specialist with 10+ years in extrusion coating development and trials for paper-based packaging. You will lead trials, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver high-performance, sustainable coatings while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will report to the Americas Technical Service Group Leader and collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and operations. Expect ~50% travel to support customers and trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in relevant field with 10+ years extrusion/web coating experience
• Experience supporting customers through trials and production implementation
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical specialist for extrusion coating applications and support trials
• Design, coordinate, and execute customer trials and scale-up activities
• Engage with downstream partners to understand requirements and drive product implementation
• Apply knowledge of web coating formulation to optimize coated products
• Troubleshoot coating issues and recommend improvements
• Coordinate materials logistics for trials with global teams
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product management for growth
• Partner on new formulations and product development to meet unmet needs
• Validate product performance with internal capabilities
• Develop technical literature for customer support
• Serve as a technical expert on extrusion coating formulations and processes
• Maintain strong customer relationships and align with needs
• Support quality, health, safety initiatives and DS sheets
• Attend trade shows to stay current on market trends
• Travel to customers to discover needs, run trials, and support implementation
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, manufacturing, product management and operations
