Job summary

Magnet Forensics is seeking an experienced compliance professional to lead export classification and regulatory compliance efforts for our digital forensics products. The role requires deep knowledge of EAR, ITAR, ECCN classification, and related regulatory regimes, with strong collaboration with product and engineering teams.

You will manage ECCN determinations, CJ requests, CCATS submissions, and regulatory filings while aligning with product roadmaps and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science.
• 5-7+ years of experience in export controls, trade compliance, or regulatory compliance for advanced tech products.
• Demonstrated experience classifying software, encryption, cybersecurity, digital forensics, or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead product export classifications under EAR/ITAR and other regimes.
• Prepare ECCN determinations, CJ requests, and CCATS submissions.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand architecture and features.
• Coordinate with BIS, DDTC, and outside counsel; support regulatory filings and audits.
• Develop governance processes and training for engineering, sales, and support teams.
• Establish export control review processes for product releases and changes.
