Job summary

KoBold Metals is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to lead evaluations of potential properties, generate targets, and design field programs from target definition through to resource expansion. You will collaborate with data scientists and senior advisors, influencing decisions on acquisitions and program planning.

Travel to project sites is expected as KoBold operates globally with a remote-first, distributed workforce.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ore deposit types.
• Experience with copper or magmatic sulfide deposits.
• Data analysis and interpretation of large geoscience datasets.
• Field skills across grassroots to advanced drilling projects.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Leadership and team-coaching experience.
• 10+ years in the mineral exploration industry.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, R, or C/C++) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, environment, and community relations.
• Rigorously analyze geoscientific data to identify exploration targets.
• Design, budget, permit, and execute field programs.
• Provide technical guidance to local project teams and engage stakeholders.
