Job summary

KoBold Metals is seeking a Data Scientist to enhance exploration efforts using AI. This role involves building predictive models and software, integrating diverse data, and collaborating with geoscientists to optimize exploration strategies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python, cloud computing, and applied statistics, coupled with a motivational drive to tackle challenges in mineral exploration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience post-PhD or 8+ years post-MS as a data scientist or data engineer.
• Experience leading technical teams to apply scientific approaches to business problems.
• Ability to explain technical problems to domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Develop KoBold’s proprietary software exploration tools.
• Curate and integrate geophysical and geochemical data into KoBold’s system.
• Build predictive models for the Earth’s crust compositional anomalies.
