Brown & Brown, Inc in the United States seeks a Lead Claims Advocate to join the Executive Risk team. You will act as a strategic claims advisor for complex D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, E&O, and Cyber exposures, guiding coverage interpretation and claim strategy.

The role requires 5-10 years of specialty claims handling, strong client relationships, and collaboration with brokers, underwriters, and defense counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; insurance certification preferred (e.g., CPCU, AIC).
• JD preferred. 5-10 years of specialty claims handling experience.
• Strong coverage interpretation and litigation management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the handling of complex and high-severity claims involving D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, E&O, Cyber.
• Review claim notices, demand letters, subpoenas, regulatory investigations, and lawsuits to identify coverage.
• Develop and execute claim strategies to maximize policyholder recovery.
• Coordinate and manage communications among clients, insurers, defense counsel, and brokers.
• Monitor insurer investigations, coverage positions, and claim handling activities for timely resolution.
• Negotiate coverage, defense cost advancements, settlements, and allocations with insurers.
• Provide technical coverage analysis and guidance on liability, professional liability, and cyber policies.
• Support policy placement teams by identifying claim trends and recommending enhancements to policy language.
