Job summary

Virginia Tech seeks an Associate Director, Executive Operations to provide executive support and coordinate cross-functional initiatives for the Hokie Club. You will manage travel, events, and Board activities while partnering with Advancement and university leadership.

The role requires handling confidential information, coordinating multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment. Non-Exempt status and overtime eligibility, with a base salary of $65,000–$70,000.

Qualifications

• High-level administrative experience supporting senior/executive level individuals in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
• Experience in a customer service/customer interaction environment.
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience coordinating domestic travel arrangements.
• Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with internal and external constituencies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Discretion, judgment, diplomacy, and tact when handling confidential matters.
• Anticipate executive needs and coordinate complex activities with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the operations and activities of the Hokie Club Board of Directors.
• Manage travel and event schedules for the Hokie Club and leadership.
• Assist with coordinating departmental budgeting processes.
• Collaborate on projects for the Annual Fund and Major Gift teams to ensure efficient operations.
