Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking a Systems Engineering focal point for a DoD program. This onsite role requires an active Secret clearance and experience with EW/Radar systems, requirements decomposition, and system-level integration.

You will guide the engineering team, manage configurations and interfaces, and translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while aligning to cost and schedule. This role is based in Goleta, CA.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• EW/Radar system development including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and system-level integration & verification planning.
• Experience developing systems engineering artifacts such as requirements, specifications, ICDs, and V&V plans.
• Experience supporting system-level technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the program.
• Manage configuration processes, perform functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and interface definitions.
• Partner with the Program Chief Engineer to align engineering with cost and schedule.
• Provide technical directions to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Implement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the lifecycle.
• Oversee development and maintenance of system documentation and test plans.
• Coordinate system engineering activities from requirements to testing.
