Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 8-10+ years’ event management experience in financial services or corporate environments
• Advanced experience with events and conferences including C-level events
• Experience with venue sourcing, contracting, negotiation and commissions
• Experience with event tech (Cvent, Zoom, Webex, On24) and registration platforms

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop 5-12 direct reports, conducting performance development conversations and managing the process
• Oversee the team's workload with regular 1:1 meetings and capacity planning
• Ensure the team maintains strong, positive relationships with clients
• Collaborate on development opportunities, coverage, and succession planning
• FIRST ambassador and support of initiatives and projects
• Lead and motivate the team to work efficiently with open, inclusive communication
• Liaise on talent development and onboarding/offboarding with Team Manager and HR
• Drive best practices and ensure SOP/compliance adherence
• Manage up by reporting to management on important updates and risks
• Travel for on-site management when necessary
• Support book of work for planning, venue sourcing, attendee data management, roadshow management or event tech
