Job summary

CIBC US in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Specialist, Events Management to consult on the development, communication and implementation of corporate client events aligning with our business strategy to grow revenue, market share and client satisfaction.

This role offers on-site work with some remote flexibility; expected salary range is $85,000 - $90,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, with potential bonus and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 5+ years related experience.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills with strong accountability and attention to detail.
• Solid relationship management and networking skills.
• Proactive in planning and organizing.
• Strong technical, creative and innovative thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage events, including research and recommendations, contract negotiation, budgeting, financial reconciliation, and conference management.
• Apply a comprehensive, conceptual and practical understanding of the organization and delivery of events and conferences to a wide range of business and technical situations.
• Solve business, operational, and technical problems within the scope of their job, and form improvement recommendations to ensure CIBC corporate events meet all business unit and senior management objectives.
