Job summary

CIBC in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to develop financial models, support FP&A, and drive business insights.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2–3 days on-site and 2–3 days remote, a starting salary range of $95,000 to $115,000, and eligibility for incentive compensation.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis in financial services, plus a BA/BS in Finance or related field; MBA or CFA/CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. MBA or CFA/CPA is a plus.
• 6–8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in financial services.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Microsoft Suite).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and profitability for Wealth Management units.
• Coordinate and consolidate annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis and KPIs.
• Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders for strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analyze expense structures and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements for better reporting and analysis.
