Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an experienced Director of Operations for Mesa Convention Center, a premier venue in the East Valley. Lead engineering, security, custodial, parking, and technical services while partnering with the GM and owners to deliver exceptional guest experiences across conventions, concerts, and large events.

You will manage budgets, ensure safety compliance, and drive operational excellence with a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
7–10+ years in venue/facility/event operations.
3–5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee all venue operations areas (Engineering, Building & Grounds, Technical Services, Public Safety, Security, Custodial, Parking).
Coordinate activities with internal departments, promoters, clients, and vendors for event readiness.
Develop and enforce operating standards, policies and procedures.
Lead annual operating and capital budgets and long-term repairs/improvements.
Drive safety culture and compliance with OSHA and fire/life safety standards.
Partner on operational strategy and venue performance with GM and owners.
Monitor KPIs for operations and guest experience; drive continuous improvements.
Support large-scale events ensuring scalability across types.
