Job summary

The Event Services Manager at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts oversees the client and guest experience for non-ticketed events, coordinating with Sales, F&B and Production to deliver flawless experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Events, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of event management experience; CMP strongly preferred.
• Proficient in office system skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to perform moderately complex mathematical functions.
• Event Industry Software knowledge (Momentus Elite, Tripleseat and Social Tables a plus).
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative problem-solving skills and high enthusiasm for the events industry.
• Outstanding interpersonal, client relations and guest service skills; experience serving sophisticated clientele.
• Strong work ethic with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute all non-ticketed external and internal events, building strong client relationships while securing event details.
• Develop accurate service and equipment estimates aligned with client budgets while identifying upsell opportunities with Sales, F&B and Production teams.
• Provide consultative client experience with timely and professional communication; conduct facility tours for clients and partners.
• Oversee planning and distribution of event information, production details and timelines to operations teams.
• Coordinate with external vendors during pre-event planning, on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
• Submit client invoices and internal finance documentation; ensure timely payments.
• Serve on-site as primary client liaison and manager on duty; address guest needs with diplomacy.
• Lead post-event debriefs to evaluate successes and capture lessons learned.
• Manage internal events and related financials; nurture internal client relationships.
• Cultivate industry relationships by attending trade shows and networking events.
