Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking an experienced events professional to plan and deliver corporate programs from kickoff to close. You will lead onsite execution, manage budgets up to $500,000, and coordinate with hotels, venues, and vendors to ensure seamless attendee experiences.

You will also drive accurate forecast, client updates, and post-event debriefs, while maintaining comprehensive planning documents for smooth handoffs to other managers.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Experience as onsite lead on ten or more programs a year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000 with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, including attrition and minimums.
• Strong command of Cvent and enterprise project tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer, from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Keep the program plan current in the client's project tools, with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Build and manage program budgets with the producer, independently up to $500,000.
• Manage suppliers through contracts, banquet orders and final invoices.
• Lead onsite for programs, including staffing, run of show, and supplier management.
• Coordinate attendee housing and communications, ensuring timely updates.
• Close programs with invoices, reconciliations, feedback, and debriefs.
