Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Senior Event Manager to join the Events team in New York, NY with a hybrid schedule (three in-office days as needed).

You will own end-to-end planning for webcasts, virtual events and in-person programs, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high client satisfaction. You will also develop the Virtual Event Coordinator, mentor the team, and drive innovative event formats while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize delivery and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of webcast and in-person event management experience.
• Strong experience with virtual event and webcast platforms.
• Proven project management skills across timelines, budgets, vendors and priorities.
• Experience mentoring junior team members is preferred.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and vendor/venue contracts.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Haymarket’s webcasts and virtual events, managing timelines, deliverables, budgets, SOPs, registration, ticketing, vendors, execution and post-event reporting.
• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of in-person events, timelines, budgets, SOPs, registration, vendors, onsite logistics and post-event reporting.
• Enhance client experience and relationships through proactive communication and delivery of programs and client activations.
• Mentor the Virtual Event Coordinator and other team members, guiding professional development.
• Identify opportunities to improve event delivery, streamline processes, and introduce innovative formats and experiences.
• Source venues and vendors, manage RFPs, and negotiate contracts for favorable terms and service quality.
• Lead onsite event execution with staff, vendors and partners to ensure a seamless attendee experience.
• Own event budgets and ensure accurate forecasts, actuals and reporting aligned with budgets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Custom, Technology and others to align on priorities and deadlines.
• Manage partners against program deliverables and outcomes with attention to detail and accountability.
• Apply business acumen to identify opportunities, efficiencies, and risks in events.
• Serve as SME on Haymarket’s virtual event and webcast platforms, understanding capabilities and limitations.
