Job summary

George Mason University’s Facilities & Campus Operations department is seeking a Senior Event and Client Experience Manager to oversee event production, AV support, and on-site supervision for high-profile events at Mason Square. You’ll lead a team, drive training, and advance modernization with analytics and AI-enabled workflows.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage staff, and ensure exceptional client experiences while delivering strategic event services across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of executive event management experience in higher education or large venues.
• Experience with enterprise event systems (25Live, Cvent, Social Tables, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for executive conferences and institutional events.
• Lead development and implementation of event management standards and procedures.
• Supervise professional and part-time event staff and ensure service standards.
• Develop training programs and assist with recruitment and training.
• Lead modernization efforts through AI-enabled reporting, workflows, and analytics.
