Job summary

The City of Richland’s Recreation Division is seeking an experienced event coordinator to lead planning and execution of the City’s signature events, such as Winter Wonderland, Fall Carnival, National Night Out, and City Fair, and to partner with private organizers hosting events in Richland’s parks and facilities.

You will report to the Recreation Supervisor or Manager, supervise staff and volunteers as assigned, and may require some evening or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree in recreation or related field.
• Three years of experience in recreation programming.
• One year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Food Handler's Permit within 3 months; First Aid/CPR/Defibrillator within 3 months.
• Desirable: experience in event planning and coordination.
• Knowledge of Richland Parks & Recreation events.
• Volunteer recruitment and coordination experience.
• Excellent communications skills.
