Job summary

The City of Richland’s Recreation Division is seeking an experienced event coordinator to lead the planning and execution of signature events such as Winter Wonderland, Fall Carnival, National Night Out and City Fair, while working with private organizers in Richland’s parks and facilities. The role reports to the Recreation Supervisor/Manager and requires some evening/weekend shifts during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree in recreation or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in recreation programming.
• One (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the City’s signature events.
• Coordinate with private event organizers for events in Richland’s parks and facilities.
• Provide supervision to staff and volunteers as assigned.
