Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced Master EV Technician in Dallas to lead advanced diagnostics and high-voltage repairs for electric and autonomous vehicle platforms. You will mentor mid-level and entry-level technicians, perform complex diagnostics, and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient completion of repair procedures.

The role emphasizes HV safety, calibration, and system integration across vehicle platforms, with shift premiums possible and extensive benefit offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years automotive service experience, including at least 3 years working with EV systems.
• ASE certifications (6+ of A1–A8) are preferred; flex considered for candidates with technical degrees and advanced coursework in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with high-voltage diagnostics, module replacement, and advanced system troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of battery management, CAN/LIN and Ethernet network communications, software-driven diagnostics, and calibration processes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and vehicle systems, including HVAC, chassis, suspension, and steering components, following OEM specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve NVH concerns using structured diagnostic processes.
• Perform high-voltage diagnostics and repairs, including HV battery swaps, interlock loop troubleshooting, and BMS fault code analysis.
