Job summary

Avis Budget Group International is seeking a Master EV Technician to lead advanced diagnostics and high-voltage repairs on next-generation autonomous vehicles. You will mentor mid-level and entry-level technicians while ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient repair procedures.

Based on OEM specs, you will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical systems, calibrate modules, and support ADAS-related processes, with emphasis on CAN/LIN networks, firmware updates, and safety lockout procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automotive service experience, incl. 3+ years with EV systems.
• ASE certifications preferred; flex for advanced coursework in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with high-voltage diagnostics, module replacement, and advanced system troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/LIN and Ethernet network communications, software-driven diagnostics, and calibration processes.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining safety, quality, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and vehicle systems (HVAC, chassis, suspension, steering).
• Troubleshoot NVH concerns using structured diagnostic processes.
• Perform HV system diagnostics and HV battery work, interlocks, and BMS fault analysis.
