Avis Budget Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Master EV Technician to diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, and HV systems on EV and autonomous vehicles. You will lead complex diagnostics, calibrations, and module-level repairs while mentoring junior technicians on safety and quality.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive service with 3+ years in EV work, ASE A1–A8 preferred, and on-site work only. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of automotive service experience, including at least 3 years working with EV systems.
• AES certifications (6+ of A1–A8) are preferred; flex considered for candidates with technical degrees and advanced coursework in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with high-voltage diagnostics, module replacement, and advanced system troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of battery management, CAN/LIN and Ethernet network communications, software-driven diagnostics, and calibration processes.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead mid-level and entry-level technicians.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/bend/reach/walk/sit/kneel frequently; able to enter/exit and drive vehicles.
• Work may be indoors or outdoors; on-site presence is required.

Responsabilités

• Lead advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on EV and autonomous vehicle systems.
• Perform high-voltage diagnostics, battery swaps, and interlock loop troubleshooting.
• Calibrate systems and support ADAS-related calibration procedures per OEM guidance.
• Mentor mid-level and junior technicians and ensure safe repair practices.
• Document work clearly and maintain OEM-standard quality.
