Job summary

Sonic Automotive is hiring experienced Automotive Technicians - Master EV Technicians to join our dealership service team with modern equipment and ongoing manufacturer training. As an EV Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, focusing on electric and hybrid systems while meeting dealership standards and productivity goals in a flat-rate environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automotive dealership repairs; flat-rate experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills for electrical and drivability issues.
• Experience with brakes, suspension, engines, and electrical systems.
• ASE or manufacturer certifications.
• EV/hybrid systems experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete work to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Document repair orders and communicate findings to service advisors.
• Maintain productivity in a flat-rate environment.
• Stay current with evolving EV technology and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
