Job summary
Sonic Automotive in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced General Motors EV Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, with emphasis on battery diagnostics, high-voltage components, and emerging EV technology. You will join a high-performing dealership service team with modern equipment and ongoing manufacturer training.
Work in a flat-rate shop with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
Qualifications
- GM EV technician certification or equivalent
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for electrical/drivability
- Experience with brakes, suspension, engines, electrical systems
- ASE certifications and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Document repair orders and communicate findings to service advisors
- Maintain productivity in a flat-rate environment
- Stay updated on evolving EV technology and safety protocols
