Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV company, seeks an experienced Fabricator to join its California shop. The role focuses on precision fabrication, machining of components, and contributing to vehicle prototype development and tooling creation.

The candidate will operate lathes, mills, welding equipment, and CNC machines, reading blueprints and GD&T drawings while improving processes and collaborating with engineering to electrify medium-duty trucks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fabricator or Machinist, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in operating lathes, mills, and welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with GD&T and geometric dimensioning.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Machining: High-precision fabrication and machining of components to design specs and quality standards.
• Vehicle Prototypes: Develop and fabricate vehicle prototypes with engineering teams.
• Manufacturing Tooling: Design, fabricate and maintain tooling and fixtures to support production.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain lathes, mills, welding equipment, and CNC machines (optional).
• Process Optimization: Improve fabrication processes to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot machining and fabrication challenges with innovative solutions.
• Equipment Expansion: Help expand shop capabilities with new equipment and technologies.
• Collaboration: Work with engineering and production teams for seamless integration.
