Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Senior Engineer for EV Battery System Design in Superior Township, MI. You will lead development of high voltage battery packs for xEV programs, coordinating with Hyundai Korea, suppliers, and national labs to achieve timely, robust designs.

You will apply DFMEA, PPAP, DVP&R, and cross-functional reviews while traveling up to 30% to support production launches and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Science (preferred).
• Experience in xEV high voltage batteries or system development.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering projects to develop high voltage battery systems for electrified vehicles.
• Design and development of xEV battery pack systems.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews with internal and external teams to drive decisions.
• Manage changes and documentation (ECR/PPAP/DVP&R).
• Communicate battery technologies to multiple stakeholders including HQ.
