Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Battery Performance Engineer to support automotive battery testing for performance and reliability of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electrified vehicles.

You will design and execute battery performance tests on vehicles, battery systems, and cells, collaborating with local manufacturing sites, technology vendors, Korean counterparts, and engineering teams. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrification and high voltage battery systems.
• Numerical analysis and data-driven decision making.
• Clear and organized communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and run battery performance tests on vehicles, systems and cells.
• Compare features against competitors and industry standards.
• Communicate directions with presentations, reports and meetings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, vendors, and international teams.
