Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced Master EV Technician (Technician A) in Dallas to lead advanced diagnostics and high-voltage repairs on next-generation autonomous vehicles. You will mentor teammates, perform HV battery work, and ensure safety and quality across complex repair procedures.

This on-site role requires deep automotive service experience, EV system expertise, and proficiency with diagnostic tools, CAN/LIN, and firmware updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years automotive service experience.
• At least 3 years working with EV systems.
• ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred; advanced electrical/mechanical coursework accepted.
• Strong experience with high-voltage diagnostics, module replacement, and system troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of battery management, CAN/LIN and Ethernet networks; software-driven diagnostics and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and vehicle systems (HVAC, chassis, suspension, steering).
• Perform high-voltage diagnostics, battery swaps, LV/HV isolation and safety lockout procedures.
• Lead complex diagnostics and calibrations across vehicle control modules and software/firmware issues.
• Mentor mid-level and entry-level technicians and ensure safe, quality repairs.
